The son of Burden of Proof Aboline emerged as the champion horse of the Bangalore Summer Season. Aboline won the Gr 1 Kingfisher Derby to become the second son of Burden of Proof to win this coveted race, the other being Fantabulous King. Aboline is a winner of three Graded races besides that he has placed third in Gr 1 Colts Trial Stakes. He is the highest rated three-year old at Bangalore.

Multiple Grade 1 race winner Arabian Knight (Brave Act) finished second in the Gr 3 Governor’s Cup which highlighted the races held on August 7.

Dr Vijay Mallya owned Set Alight is set to resume her racing career, with a shot at the Nizam’s Gold Cup at Hyderabad on Sunday, August 16. The exceptional filly, who has won a host of graded races including the Gr 1 Kingfisher Derby, was unlucky to lose in the Indian Derby.
