Kunigal Stud Farm yearling sale from Monday, August 14

The Kunigal Stud Farm which has already opened its doors for inspection of yearlings by prospective buyers will start selling them from Monday, August 14. Thirty yearlings have been offered for sale while the rest have been retained to be raced under the URBB banner and will be allocated to the trainers who are part of its team.

All horses will be unsold without any conditions. The list includes some exceptionally bred fillies as well. All these years, the response from owners for the Kunigal Stud has only been increasing as the stud farm has maintained its stranglehold on the leading stud farm championship in Bangalore during the winter seasons. The same has now been extended to the Bangalore Summer Season as well with the Leading Stud Farm trophy being awarded for the first time last week.

The yearlings which will be on sale are all reasonably priced and a boon for race horse owners looking to buy at prices they can afford besides being able to target their wards for classics as well. The resident stallion Burden of Proof has proved his mettle in classics through his progeny and he is the sire of eight individual classic winners including four Derby winners in Fantabulous King, Full Speed, Abs Fabs and Aboline.

The stud farm is offering 14 yearlings by Burden of Proof, four by Tejano, two by Brave Act, two by MidTown and one yearling each by Serious Spender and Warrshan.
