Sinclair Marshall takes up new assignment

Sinclair Marshall, who made his mark as a jockey till he retired about six years ago, was associated with the Kunigal Stud Farm as Manager of Young Stock. The hard-working veteran contributed significantly in helping manage the juveniles. He was also responsible for breaking in the horses retained to race under turf baron Dr Vijay Mallya. Marshall has decided to quit his job at the Kunigal Stud Farm in pursuit of a new career. He has joined as Assistant Trainer to India’s best known trainer Rashid Byramji.


The Kunigal Stud Farm hosted a farewell party to Sinclair on Wednesday (March 29) which was well attended. Zeyn Mirza, Director, Racing Operations, of UB Group, commended the work of Marshall and expressed the view that given the veteran’s knowledge of the sport as also his commitment, he was sure to do well
his new assignment as well. Dr Dinesh, Chief Veterinary Surgeon of Kunigal Stud Farm, presented a memento to Marshall on behalf of the stud farm.

Tim Hughes from Australia will take over the duties performed by Marshall.
