The Kunigal Stud Farm bred juveniles have been hogging
the limelight during the ongoing Bangalore Winter
Season, with a number of them winning the races meant
for first season runners. Exclusive Grey, who is bred
as full sister to the champion sprinter Caprese, has
already established himself as a sprinter of immense
potential by recording back-to-back victories.
Exclusive Grey, who is racing in the famous silks of
Dr M A M Ramaswamy, won the New Year Trophy, despite
conceding weight to his opponents, in the manner of a
top class horse. Surely he will go places.
Another three-year old which won in tremendous fashion
was Fleeting Arrow who is by Burden of Proof out of
Calcutta Oaks winning mare Sabre Dance. Fleeting
Arrow, who is owned by Mr. Ramanujala Reddy, won a
race meant for juveniles, by swamping the opposition
without having to raise a sweat. The owner intends to
run the talented three-year old in the Mumbai juvenile
millions including a possible tilt in the Gr 1 Poonawalla Breeders’ Multi-Million.
Prince Ville is yet another youngster of promise to
have impressed the discerning with the quality of his
win. The son of Brave Act out of Imposing, Prince
Ville is a half-brother to the Bangalore Derby winning
Fantabulous King. The manner in which Prince Ville
stretched away from the field suggested that he is
another juvenile who is slated to climb the ladder.
His trainer Ganapathy thinks highly of this talented
son of Brave Act.
Poetic (Serious Spender) made a winning debut and
finished a suggestive second in her next outing. |
