Fleeting Arrow wins the Juvenile Million
- Sharan Kumar

The son of Burden of Proof established his credentials as the best three-year old at Bangalore when winning the Gr 2 Heeroji Lad Bangalore Juvenile Million, the star attraction of races held on the concluding day of the season.

Fittingly the stud farm also emerged as the leading stud farm on the day Fleeting Arrow proved his undoubted talent.

Fleeting Arrow is thus the winner of three juvenile races. He was pretty unlucky in the Gr 1 Poonawalla Breeders’ Multi-Million at Mumbai as the luck of the race went against him despite which he finished less than six lengths behind the winner Autonomy.

Fleeting Arrow was ridden in fine fashion by visiting French jockey Samuel Fargeat who had the fancied runner within striking distance of the front-running Rare And Precious and Archipenko despite being drawn on the wide outside. Fleeting Arrow came up with a good burst of speed to edge out Archipenko close home to record a facile win.

Sabre Dance, the dam of Fleeting Arrow, won three races at 2 to 4 including the Gr 3 Castrol Calcutta Oaks. All the three horses foaled by her thus far which have raced namely Peace Prize, Scimitar and Fleeting Arrow have proved to be talented and are winners. Scimitar has also placed in Gr 2 Golconda 2000 Guineas.
