The game daughter of Burden of Proof has been beset with some problem or the other right through her career but she has braved all the setbacks and bounced back in amazing fashion. Woman On Top yet again put in a gutsy performance while snatching a last stride victory over Aurelian to lift the Gr 3 Chief Minister’s Trophy, the feature event of Sunday’s Bangalore Summer races (June).

Favourite Lady One did not show her patented speed which had her rivals swept off their feet in the past and she played second fiddle to Aurelian till the final bend and then did not show the spark that was characteristic of her best performances and finished fifth. Woman On Top reproduced her best performance as evidenced by the timing of one minute 12.98 seconds which was par for the timing she had achieved in her second run when finishing runner up to Bourbon King.

Woman On Top was the most impressive winner of the Gr 3 Juvenile Sprinters’ Million during the last Bangalore Winter Season. Woman On Top has a bagful of wins to her credit. The dam of Woman On Top, Si Senora (Tejano) is a Kunigal Stud Farm bred mare. Si Senora is the daughter of Derby winning Divine Dreams. The third dam Divine Light was an outstanding performer and a winner of Kingfisher Bangalore Derby. Divine Light had clocked a sensational one minute 34.9 seconds for the mile long trip and none of the other runners thus far have come anywhere that mark.
