Zeyn Mirza, who had been the Racing Manager of Dr. Vijay Mallya and a Director of United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders Ltd, for the last five years, has been promoted as its Managing Director.

Zeyn Mirza comes from a family steeply involved in horse racing. Prior to taking up the assignment with URBB, Mirza had worked as Stud Farm Manager of the family owned Kehelan Stud Farm before moving to England. He was made the Racing Manager of URBB in the year 2003 and has since been in charge of both racing and breeding operations of the company.

Mirza has taken several innovative measures to boost the quality of Kunigal Stud Farm bloodstock and has been chiefly instrumental in infusing fresh blood by going in for fashionably bred pregnant mares at the Goff’s in Ireland. Kunigal Stud Farm now boasts of champion mares of not only India but also those procured elsewhere which should give a qualitative thrust to
its operations in the years to come.
